KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS DENGAN MODEL CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING (CPS) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA

Abstract


Mathematics is one of the subjects that are important to study because its presence can help people to solve problems in everyday life. One of the roles and duties of educators in order to maximize the learning opportunities of students is that students have a mathematical problem solving ability. This is done so that students can solve the problems in her life. To that end, an educator in the process need to consider the model of learning that can encourage students to achieve this capability, the model of learning Creative Problem Solving (CPS). The learning model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) is a learning model that focuses on teaching and problem solving skills, followed by strengthening creativity. Noller (Isaksen, Dorval, and Treffinger, 2011: 26) argues that "Creative Problem Solving or CPS is a process, a method, a system for approaching a problem in a imaginative way the resulting in effective action". This means that the CPS is a process, a method, a system approach to the problem with imaginative ways to generate solutions through effective action. For more, this article will examine what the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) and its relationship with the mathematical problem solving ability in mathematics.
