KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DENGAN PEMBELAJARAN GUIDED DISCOVERY

Abstract


Math is one of the subjects that plays an important role in education. Mathematics can develop critical, creative, systematic and logical thinking, math also has given contribution in everyday life, from simple things such as the basic calculation to complex and abstract calculation. Some focus on the development of mathematics, namely the students thinking ability of mathematical creative. Creative thinking skills are needed by students to express many ideas to solve the problem. One of the learning of mathematics oriented creative thinking ability is by guided discovery learning. Guided discovery learning is one of the strategies to assist students in learning mathematics difficulties. Learning by discovery is the process of learning wherea student is faced with a problem so that studentcan find out a way of solving its own with the guidance of teachers. In the learning activities of students is advised to find something, formulate a hypothesis, or draw their own conclusions. In guided discovery, placing the teacher as a facilitator, the teacher guides the students when the teacher is needed. The purpose of this study is to determine how the guided discovery applied in the study of mathematics, to determine the student's ability to think creatively. The results showed guided discovery learning can stimulate creative thinking of students and assist students in discovering new knowledge or concept.
