### Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Learning Start With A Question (Lsq) Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Ditinjau Dari Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik

#### Abstract

*Concept understanding ability is the ability of students' understanding in restating a concept, for example examples and not examples of concepts, and applying concepts in problem solving. Based on preliminary research, it shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of eighth grade students of SMP Bhakti Pemuda Tanjung Bintang is still low, this is due to the lack of variation in the learning process. One solution to overcome this problem is the active learning strategy Learning Start with a Question (LSQ). The purposei ofi thisi study was to determine the effect of the active learning strategy Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) oni thei ability to understandi conceptsi in terms of student motivation.*

*This research is a type of Quasy Experiment Designi research. The population in this study were students of SMP Bhakti Pemuda Tanjung Bintang, with a random class technique, the samples were class VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class. The data collection technique used is a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts and a student motivation questionnaire. The analytical technique used in this study is the analysis of two variants, two lines from the same cell.*
